JI set to march on Islamabad for Fata’s merger
November 20, 2017

KHAR, 20 November: Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) has once again reiterated its pledge to march on Islamabad if the federal government failed to merger Fata in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa till December 10.

JI’s Fata chapter Ameer, Sardar Khan while addressing a news conference in Bajaur press club here on Monday said that the federal government was deliberately delaying the implementation of Fata reforms and was not serious in fulfilling its pledge made with the people of Fata.

“The majority people of Fata want emancipation from the clutches of FCR. The irony is that a democratically elected government is creating hurdles in providing basic human rights to them,” Khan remarked.

“We will start our long march from the historic Bab-e-Khyber in Jamrud. We will invite workers of other political parties and students’ organization to participate in the march,” he added.
