WHO worker monitoring anti-polio drive survives gun attack in Bara

A worker of World Health Organization (WHO), who was monitoring anti-polio vaccination campaign, has survived a gun attack in Bara tehsil of Khyber Agency on Thursday.
BARA, 10 August: A worker of World Health Organization (WHO), who was monitoring anti-polio vaccination campaign, has survived a gun attack in Bara tehsil of Khyber Agency on Thursday.
According to political administration, the incident took place in Qambar Khel area when unknown armed men opened firing on Abullah Jan. However, he remained unhurt in the attack, said officials of the political administration. He was in the area to monitor ongoing anti-polio vaccination drive in the area.
Khasadar Force cordoned off the area and carried out search operation in the area. However, no arrest was made.
