UET Mardan campus to be upgraded into full fledge varsity, Atif

MARDAN, 07 May: Education Minister Muhammad Atif Khan has said that the Mardan campus of the University of Engineering and Technology, Peshawar will be upgraded into a full fledge engineering university.

This he said while addressing the oath taking ceremony of the Mardan Press Club cabinet here on Sunday.

He informed that a bill to this effect would be tabled in the coming session of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly.

“The Mardan University of Engineering and Technology will be the first engineering institution to be established in the province after 1980,” Atif Khan said.

He said that Chief Minister Pervez Khattak has already given approval of the establishment of the university.
