Those opposing FATA-KP merger will change their stance soon: JUI-S
PESHAWAR: The Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Samiul Haq (JUI-S) provincial ameer Maulana Yousaf Shah has said those opposing the merger of FATA with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are the agents of the US.
Addressing a press conference at Peshawar Press Club on Friday, Maulana Yousaf Shah said the Frontier Crimes Regulation (FCR) is a black law and the JUI-S wants abolition of this law. He claimed that those opposing the merger will change their stance within a month. He said there is no room for referendum in the Constitution for reforms in FATA.
Maulana Yousaf Shah alleged that Maulana Fazlur Rehman and Sirajul Haq are deceiving the nation in the name of revival of Muttahida Majlis-e-Amal (MMA). He said the alliance has been revived for elections, not for Islam.
Meanwhile, talking to TNN, Maulana Yousaf Shah said delay in FATA reforms implementation is a huge injustice with the tribal people after all the parties have agreed on merger.
“The merger should be announced without further delay. The Jamaat-e-Islami has announced a movement for FATA and filing cases against Nawaz Sharif in the court, while Maulana Fazlur Rehman is sitting with them,” he said.
