BARA, 19 April: Inspector General Frontier Corps Major General Shaheen Mazhar Mehmood on Tuesday inaugurated sports competitions Bara, Khyber Agency.

The IG FC said on the occasion that sports activities must be organised in the region to promote peace. He said the area elders and political administration should also make efforts for promotion of sports activities in the region. He said sports competitions will be held in Bara, Jamrud, Tirah Maidan and Rajgal areas. He said teams from Pakistan Army, Frontier Corps, local schools and civilian population will participate in the sports competitions.

“With the grace of Almighty Allah, we are organising sports competitions in Khyber Agency, which is a matter of great satisfaction. We are extremely happy to lead our lives according to our beliefs and customs,” he said.

The IG FC said gymnastics, cricket, volleyball, tug-of-war, archery, cycling, swing ball and national songs contests will be organised during the three-day competitions.
