JAMRUD, 18 April: A special enrollment campaign was launched in all government schools across Khyber Agency here on Tuesday.
UNICEF and the agency education department arranged a ceremony in this regard at the Government Higher Secondary School Jamrud. Assistant Political Agent Jamrud Zia-ur-Rehman Marwat, Khyber Agency Education Officer Jadoon Khan and a large number of students and local elders participated in the ceremony.
Speaking on the occasion, elders said that education is the fundamental right of every child adding that without education a society could not make progress. The stressed on parents to enroll their children in schools so that the country could be put on the path of progress.
Later, a rally was also held to aware masses about the importance of education. A large number of students and local people participated in the rally.
