Saudi govt returns Rs450 million to Pakistani pilgrims over inadequate arrangements
PESHAWAR, 10 September: The government of Saudi Arabia has returned Rs450 million to Pakistani pilgrims over incomplete arrangements during Hajj.
Federal Minister for Religious Affairs Sardar Muhammad Yousaf told media persons at Islamabad Airport after return from Saudi Arabia on Saturday night that arrangements were incomplete for all the pilgrims of Asia, including Pakistan. He said the Pakistan government had conveyed its grievances to the Saudi government over inadequate arrangements. He said the Saudi government took notice of the complaint and returned Rs450 million which will be distributed among the pilgrims who performed Hajj under the government scheme.
The minister said the government will try to improve arrangements for pilgrims next year.
