Rescue 1122 tackled over 1,200 emergency cases in Swat in one year
SWAT, 21 May: The Rescue 1122 service has completed one year in Swat during which it provided services to people in over 1,200 emergency cases.
Rescue 1122 District Officer Kamal Shah told TNN that an average of 70 minutes time was consumed by the Rescue 1122 in reaching to sites of accidents and other mishaps. He said Swat witnessed more incidents of fire as compared to other districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He said the importance of Rescue 1122 in the region increases in such a scenario.
Kamal Shah said the trained personnel of Rescue 1122 remain prepared round the clock to tackle any emergency situation.
“We have provided training to students in 78 schools to deal with emergency situations at home. Such training will be provided to students of 200 more schools. Training and awareness campaign will be extended to private educational institutions in the next phase,” he told TNN.
The people of Swat are also very happy over the performance of Rescue 1122. They said the rescue officials arrive quickly in emergency situations on just a phone call.
