Quetta attack aimed to disrupt Independent Day celebrations: CM Zehri
QUETTA, August 14: Chief Minister Balochistan Sanaullah Zehri on Monday said that attack on security forces in Quetta was an attempt to disrupt the Independence Day celeberations.
Speaking to a gathering on eve of Independence Day celebrations, Chief Minister Sanaullah Zehri said democracy was the only way out of current crises being faced to Pakistan.
He said that enemies of Pakistan wanted to plunge the nation into grief and mourning on birthday of its motherland and said that they should know such attack could not demoralize the nation.
He said that martyrdom of security personnel has saddened the whole nation and expressed sympathies with the bereaved families.
Commandar Southern Command Lt General Amir Riaz, Speaker Balochistan Assembly Rahila Durrani and people from all walk of life were present in the ceremony.
