Pesco notifies loadshedding schedule
PESHAWAR, 12 April: The Peshawar Electric Supply Company (PESCO) on Wednesday issued new schedule for electricity loadshedding and said that no unannounced loadshedding will be carried out in any area.
According to a statement issued by PESCO, the areas will face more loadshedding were electricity theft ration is high. According to the new schedule, cities will face up to two hours loadshedding where the electricity deficit is 10%. Whereas, in areas where the deficit is 30% will face eight hours loadshedding, areas where the deficit is 50% will face 10 hours loadshedding whereas the areas where the deficit is 70% will face up to 14 hours long loadshedding.
According to the new schedule, the areas where the electricity deficit is more than 70% will face up to 18 hours long loadshedding. PESCO also appealed the public for cooperation to curb electricity theft and minimize loadshedding.
