PCB honours cricketers at awards ceremony

PESHAWAR, 15 September: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) arranged awards ceremony to honour national cricketers in Lahore on Thursday night.
Pakistan current and former players and members of the visiting World Eleven team participated in the awards function. Pakistan captain Sarfaraz Ahmed won the outstanding player of the year award, Babar Azam won one-day player of the year award, Yasir Shah won Test player of the year award and Imad Wasim won T20 player of the year award. Hassan Ali and Shadab Khan jointly won the emerging talent award.
On the occasion, the PCB awarded life time achievement, spirit of cricket award and cash prize to former captain Misbahul Haq. Younis Khan and Shahid Afridi were also invited to the ceremony, but they did not come due to unknown reasons. The Rs10 million prizes each for both these cricketers were donated to Edhi Foundation after they did not come to the ceremony.
Special gold medals were also awarded to Pakistan Super League (PSL) franchises owners.
