Pakistan beat South Africa in Under-19 World Cup quarter-final

PESHAWAR: Pakistan Under-19 team have defeated South Africa in the quarter-final of the Under-19 World Cup in New Zealand by three wickets and qualified for the semi-final.

Pakistan decided to field first and restricted South Africa to 189 runs in the allotted 50 overs. Pakistan surpassed the target in 48 overs with the loss of seven wickets. Muhammad Musa took three wickets, while Shaheen Afridi, hailing from Khyber Agency, took two wickets.

    After a long wait, the National Assembly finally passed a bill on 12 January 2018 for extending the jurisdiction of the Supreme Court of Pakistan and Peshawar High Court (PHC) to FATA. Protests by the FATA people and statements by the opposition leaders played a crucial role in the approval of the bill from the National Assembly.
