Notices issued to 64 factories in KP over spreading pollution

PESHAWAR, 28 May: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Environment Protection Agency has issued notices to 64 factories in different cities over spreading pollution.
The Environment Protection Agency said in a statement that notices have been issued to 24 factories in Peshawar, 39 in Nowshera and one factory in Mansehra. The notices have warned these factories to stop release of toxic material or face fine up to Rs10 million and two years imprisonment. The notices were issued to marble, matches and chips factories and brick kilns.
