BANNU, 07 March: Residents of the North Waziristan Agency, who were displaced during military operation, staged a protest demonstration here on Tuesday against the non-payment of compensation amount of the damage houses.
As per details, affectees of the Baro Khel area of Mir Ali tehsil gathered outside the Bannu Press Club and chanted slogans against the government and Fata Disaster Management Authority (FDMA).
According to them, the compensation amount of the damage houses yet to be released despite that FDMA has completed its survey in this regard.
They further said that, though they repatriated to their native villages, but they still living in tents and under the open sky as they were unbale to reconstruct their damaged houses.
Demanding early release of amount, they announced to stage a sit-in outside the Peshawar Press Club to against the FDMA on Wednesday (tomorrow).
