No decision to be imposed on FATA people: Fazlur Rehman
October 15, 2016

MARDAN, 15 October: The Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman said on Friday that no decision will be imposed on the people of FATA against their will.

Addressing a public rally in Mardan, the JUI-F chief said the people of the tribal areas remained loyal to Pakistan during the last 70 years, but unfortunately they are living a very difficult life of displacement.

“We will not allow anyone to impose decisions on the tribal people. There are some proposals in the reforms package which are based on lies and tend to make the reforms process controversial,” he said.

He said the tribal people are fully cooperating with the government for improving law and order. He said the government has not taken any steps for restoration of religious seminaries damaged during military operations in FATA.
