NAB initiates probe against Captain Safdar

PESHAWAR: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has initiated investigation against Member National Assembly Captain (Retd) Muhammad Safdar in a corruption case of Rs2 billion.

According to an official statement, the NAB said the investigation has been initiated on the directives of Chairman Justice (R) Javed Iqbal.

Sources said the name of the complainant was not revealed for his security.

The statement added that being the son-in-law of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif, Captain (Retd) Safdar influenced all federal government departments.
