NAB arrests ANP leader Syed Masoom Shah in corruption cases
PESHAWAR, 11 August: National Accountability Bureau has arrested Awami National Party leader Syed Masoom Shah in corruption charges and making of illegal assets worth millions of rupees in various parts of the country, sources in NAB told TNN on Tuesday.
Syed Masoom Shah was special assistant to ex- Chief Minister of Khyber PakhtoonkhwaHaider Khan Hoti during the previous ANP led government in the province.
The sources said that Masoom Shah was involved in a number of corruption cases including illegal recruitments of hundreds of people in various government departments and making property worth millions of rupees in Abbottabad, Peshawar and Islamabad. They said that after he was caught in Islamabad, transferred to Peshawar for further investigation.
