Minorities celebrate Independence Day in KP

PESHAWAR, August 14: Minorities communities in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa also celebrated the 70th Independence Day across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Sikhs in Peshawar have taken out a motorcycle rally from Gurdwara Jogan Shah.
The participants of the rally were chanting Long Live Pakistan slogans and were holding national flags. The rally culminated at Jinnah Park where they played national anthem and songs.
Similarly, another rally was taken out in Mingora Swat where a ceremony was also organized at Singh Saba Gurdwara where a large number of children from across the city participated.
They prayed for peace and prosperity in the country and urged the people to work together for the joint cause regardless of affiliation to any religion or sect.
Baldir Singh while talking to Tribal News Network said that Pakistan was their motherland and was ready to render every sacrifice for its protection.
