GHALANAI, 25 May: The Frontier Works Organization (FWO) authorities on Thursday said that the construction work on the Nahaqi Tunnel in Mohmand Agency has been completed.
The FWO authorities on Thursday briefed the Mohmand Agency MNA Bilal Rehman and Political Agent Mahmood Aslam regarding the construction of the Nahaqi Tunnel.
During the briefing, Colonel Shoaib said that preliminary work on the construction of the tunnel was completed. He said that the tunnel was constructed at the cost of 2428 million rupees. He said that the tunnel is first of its kind in Pakistan which was constructed by Pakistani engineers. He said the construction of the tunnel would benefit the people of Bajaur Agency, Dir and Chitral who are currently using long and difficult routes for traveling.
During the briefing, it was also disclosed that construction work on Nahaqi-Mamadgat Road was also resumed and the road will be completed in four months.
