FOA President accused of selecting KP players in FATA basketball team
PESHAWAR, 31 January: The FATA Basketball Association members on Tuesday accused the FATA Olympics Association (FOA) President Shahid Khan Shinwari of selecting players from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in FATA basketball team for the recently held National Inter-Divisional Tournament.
Addressing a press conference in Peshawar Press Club, the FATA Basketball Association General Secretary Amal Khan and other office bearers said that FATA basketball team players Afghan belong to Bannu, Yasir Shah belong to Nowshera, Faraz belong to Chitral, Akram belong to Afghanistan and Jawad belong to Lakki Marwat district and they played in FATA team during the Inter-Divisional Tournament. They said that all the mentioned players have no link with basketball association.
The association members demanded of KP governor and PTI Chairman Imran Khan to take action against FOA president Shahid Khan Shinwari.
FATA had won the recently held National Inter-Divisional Basketball Tournament, which was participated by 14 teams from across the country.
