KOHISTAN, 2 May: The whole government record was reduced to ashes when a huge fire gutted offices and residences of administration officials in Pattan, the district headquarters of Lower Kohistan district, on Monday.

The local people said power supply was disconnected at the time of the incident at 5:00pm, and someone might have ignited the fire. However, no official was available for comment in this regard. The compound where the fire erupted include offices of assistant commissioner, deputy commissioner, district police officer, courts and revenue offices.

The fire brigade vehicles with the help of local people were busy in dousing the fire.
