ETEA holds test for admission in KP medical colleges
PESHAWAR, 23 July: More than 23,000 candidates including 13,000 female students appeared in the entrance test conducted by Educational Testing and Evaluation Authority (ETEA) for admissions in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa medical colleges.
According to ETEA, the tests were simultaneously held at centers in Peshawar, Dera Ismail Khan, Abbottabad and Swat. Proper arrangements were made to facilitate students at the test centers. The test result would be announced in next two days, ETEA said. 1200 students would be enrolled in Khyber Medical University and all the medical colleges affiliated with the KMU across the province.
ETEA said that more than 18,000 students appeared at the Peshawar test center. The paper of three students including one female student were cancelled for using cell-phone during the test.
Similarly, about 5000 students appeared in Abbottabad, 6000 students appeared in Swat and 3000 students appeared in DI Khan test centers for entrance test.
Talking to media in Peshawar, KMU Vice Chancellor Dr. Arshad Javed said that keeping in view the increase in population, the university is considering increase in number of medical colleges.
