Eid Miladun Nabi being celebrated with religious fervour

PESHAWAR, 1 December: Eid Miladun Nabi, the birthday of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him), is being observed across the country with religious zeal today (Friday).

The day dawned with 31-gun salute in the federal capital and 21-gun salute in provincial capitals. The sacred day begins with offering of special prayers in mosques for upholding and flourishing of Islam and religious teachings, unity, solidarity, progress, and welfare of the Muslim Ummah.

Numerous Eid Miladun Nabi (PBUH) processions will be taken out across the country to pay tributes to the leader of humanity. Strict security measures have been adopted throughout the country to avoid any untoward incident.

Homes, offices, markets, bazaars and government buildings have been decorated with illuminations, colours and banners to celebrate the occasion.
