MARDAN: An infant died instantly after birth at the waiting lounge of Mardan Medical Complex (MMC) allegedly due to doctors’ negligence for not admitting the mother despite repeated visits.

Sabir Rahman, a resident of Charsadda Road, said that he has taken his wife last night to MMC where the gynecologists were not ready to check her up and later send them back home.

He said that his’ wife condition deteriorated when they reached home and again taken her to the hospital but the doctors on duty were not ready to treat her.

The hospital administration suspended five gynecologists and initiated an inquiry against them.
