Cricket talent hunt camp held in Mardan

MARDAN, 15 January: A cricket talent hunt camp for the children of Mardan was organised by Peshawar Zalmi Foundation on Friday.
The purpose of the under-18 camp was to find new talent from amongst the boys who don’t get opportunities to display their talent. The judges of the camp include former Pakistan captain Inzamamul Haq, Fazle Akbar and Muhammad Akram.
Inzamam said on the occasion that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has rich cricketing talent and efforts are continuing to find that talent. Twelve players were short-listed in Mardan for further trials.
A player participating in the trials said the government should organise such trials on a regular basis to find talented players. “It will pave the way for more players from KP to strive for joining the national team,” he said.
