Couple killed for honour in Kalam

SWAT: The police on Monday found bodies of a couple who were allegedly gunned down for honour in Boyo village of tehsil Kalam, area of Swat district, the police said.

The police said that the bodies were recovered from a deserted house, who were later identified as Yousaf Shah and Akhtar Meena.

As per initial information the deceased were in love with each other who wanted to marry but their families were not willing, leaving them with not option but to escape last night, the police claimed.

They added that the deceased were subjected to torture before being shot dead after which their bodies were thrown at a deserted house.

The bodies were shifted to Saidu Sharif Hospital, however, relatives of the deceased refused to register an FIR after which the police register a case against unknown persons.
