CHARSADDA, 24 June: An assistant sub-inspector of police on Saturday embraced martyrdom in exchange of fire between the police and the criminals in the jurisdiction of Mandani police station of Charsadda.
According to police, the absconders opened fire at the police party in Jalalabad area and martyred an assistant sub-inspector Khan Wali Shah on the spot. The attackers successfully drove off the area after the attack.
Later on, the namaz-e-janaza of martyred assistant sub-inspector Khan Wali was offered with DPO Fakre Khalid and DIG Charsadda Alam Shinwari along with people from different walk of life participated.
Meanwhile, Mardan police have arrested three suspects along with 5kg explosives, pistols and ammunition.
