Alpine International ski Cup underway in Malam Jabba
MALAM JABBA, 31 January: The Alpine International Cup ski tournament is underway in tourists’ resort Malam Jabba top in scenic Swat valley after 11 years of gap.
The tournament started on 28 January will conclude on February 2. 60 skiers including 10 women players from 12 countries including Pakistan, India, Afghanistan, Turkey and others are participating in the tournaments.
Talking about the tournament, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa provincial assembly member and Malam Jabba Skiing Project focal person Dr. Haider Ali Khan told TNN that the provincial government is taking every possible step for the promotion of peace, tourism, and sports. He said that organizing Skiing International Cup ‘Alpine International Cup’ proved that peace has been restored in Swat. He added that soon a funfair will be organized for local people.
