MARDAN, 1 April: Admissions have started in the first cadet college for girls in Mardan.

The candidates can submit admission forms till 7 April. According to a statement of the provincial government, female students can take admission in the cadet college from 8th grade. It said centres will be set up in Peshawar, Mardan, Kohat, Dera Ismail Khan, Abbottabad, Islamabad and Rawalpindi for entry tests.

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government had announced establishment of first cadet college of the province in Takht Bhai area of Mardan which will be completed at a cost of Rs3 billion. The college classes will be arranged temporarily in Mardan Commerce College for Women till completion of the cadet college building.
